Description of the plant: a perennial herb, 15-30 cm Rhizome creeping, stem erect, not branched,upstairs tetrahedral - leaves entire, opposite, with three veins,the lower obtuse, the other serrated. Flowers single, located in the leaf axils, on long pedicels, with two bracts at the base of the calyx.
